"Dennis Smith and his team created our beautiful backyard with their masterful work. From the initial excavation for the wall to the last drop of paint applied to the stand-alone patio cover, the work was conducted professionally, on-time and on-budget.
Of the four bids we obtained for the project, Sunrise Construction was the second highest bid, however, Sunrise was the only contractor who said (and did) run the patio drainage system under the sidewalk and through the existing curb to the gutter. This was a lot of extra work but it is indicative of the 'do it right' approach that Dennis insists upon.
All of Sunrise's employees were polite, tidy and friendly, however, Paris, Manny and Larry rapidly became our favorites and it was great to see them on an almost-daily basis while the work was underway. Of course, Dennis' wife Patricia is not only the beauty but the brains of the operation and she kept us constantly apprised of scheduling issues.

"Dennis/Sunrise has done two major jobs for us. The first was at our previous home in the AV. Dennis replaced a cracked driveway and installed extensive ornamental hardscape in the yard. Dennis was so thoughtful and accommodating that he brought an enclosure for our golden retrievers to be able to stay in their yard while workers did the hardscape. Nice touch! The second job that Dennis/Sunrise did for us was at our new home in Agua Dulce. Dennis installed a concrete sidewalk between our driveway and yard area and fixed some drainage issues. Though it was a relatively small job, it was not simple. Dennis came up with an ingenious way to get concrete onto the property without crushing the driveway apron with a cement mixer. Nice, nice work!!! We will be using Sunrise again for more projects on the property in the near future."

"Needed an ensuite off the master turned into a bedroom. The bid that I was given was close to being what it cost. The few issues that arose were addressed and corrected quickly. They were attentive and always available to discuss anything I needed regarding the project. If I needed him to change the time the job started that day, he was able to comply. He showed up within 10-20 minutes of start time and rarely left unless it was to gather more material (rare with contractors). He even went the extra mile as to block off the construction for my toddler when he left from the site. I don't know if I would go with anyone else at this point. I don't have photos to upload but the texture and paint was a perfect match to the existing walls. This took all of a week to complete which was really nice. Again, going the extra mile to show up on his weekend to finish the job so I could have my house in order."
